We meet the second Saturday of the month. We also meet once a month to work on our own projects.

January Meeting!

Here we go! Our first meeting of the year will be this Saturday, Jan 9, at 10:30 am. We will still be meeting in the Stitching Corners store. Our topic will be threads. We will discuss which threads to use for which project, which ones that work best in our machines and which ones we prefer. Please feel free to bring your specialty threads and favorite threads and any information you have about them. The best thing about our group is the wonderful experience that we all share. It is very beneficial for all of us.

Please bring your show and tells, including Christmas gifts you may have received. All of us look forward to these beautiful projects. Remember that our yearly dues are $10. Our year runs from Sept to Sept. Please pay Myrl Saturday if you still need to pay dues this year

November meeting!

It's time to remind all you QT's about our November long arm guild meeting. It is next Saturday the 14th of Nov. at 10:30 am at the Stitching Corner . Do we need to pay dues for 2010. They will be $10 as in other years. Please come prepared to pay dues. We will be updating our roster. Myrl will send out what she has. Please check your information for accuracy.

Cathy U'Ren has agreed to give us a demonstration of Sharon Schamber's new machine appliqué methods from her new book "Piece by Piece".

Show and tell will be for holiday quilts, appliqué quilts and your favorite background or filler patterns to share--a handout to share of your patterns would be great.

Also, it's time to choose a president for 2010. Be thinking about who you'd like. The 2009 presidency might be willing to serve another year if you think we need some more experience. We would like ya'll to be thinking about what you want to learn or teach for next year. I would like to learn how to do nice even crosshatching and other Heirloom quilting techniques. How about you? Sept Guild meeting!

Hey, September 19 is right around the corner! We are having a joint meeting at 10 am at the Bountiful Davis Arts Center at 745 South Main in Bountiful. We are the invited guests of our sister guild, the Bountiful/Logan Longarm guild. We each need to bring a dish for a potluck lunch to eat while we enjoy a trunk show they have planned for our pleasure. It will be a lot of fun I’m sure. Catherine Lindsey is the contact person if more information is needed. She can be called at 801-292-6058. Some of us might want to carpool to the meeting.

~July 15 Utah Valley Quilt Show and Auction- All Day at Eldred Center
Q Ts will be helping with the Garage Sale at the Quilt Show, afternoon shift.
Help donate, tend the store and take left overs to DI.

~July 17 to Sept 2 Springville Quilt show.

~Aug 8 Q Ts meet at Springville show for our meeting and lunch.

~Sept 19 Joint Meeting with Salt Lake Longarm Quilt Guild.

~No Longarm Q Ts for July...attend the Quilt Show.

~October 10 Longarm Q Ts meeting -Backgrounds, crosshatching, share your favorites.

~They will change the Challenge quilt venue at HMQS with a different fabric company and entrants will pay to enter instead of auction. Pleas emaile other suggestions to Leslie.
~We need to educate our clients about improving their bindings being filled and having corners stitches.

Sew and Tell
*Wren showed a Red and white quilt. She used red thread on white fabric.
*Lorri showed a peach and green applique quilt.
*Janet showed a black and yellow, on point. She featured her signature snake on the quilt.

This Saturday is our Long Arm Q Ts meeting at 10:30 in the Stitching Corner's store. Come with your "sew and tell" and any things you would like to share from the HMQS show.
